Red light therapy panels
Red light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, uses red and near-infrared LED light with specific wavelengths. This light is applied to the body and can support cellular processes in the illuminated area, including processes related to the energy metabolism of cells, the mitochondria.
The number of wavelengths varies per lamp and model. Some models operate with two wavelengths, others with multiple wavelengths such as seven. In addition to wavelengths, light intensity is also important. This is expressed in mW per cm2.

Infrared heat lamps are focused on generating heat. The designation IR A refers to a broad heat category and mainly describes how deeply the heat penetrates the body and how intense it is experienced. It is a functional classification for heat comfort and thermal applications.
Red light therapy works differently. It is not primarily about heat, but about specific light waves that have an effect at the cellular level. These wavelengths are expressed precisely in nanometers (nm), because small differences determine how the light is absorbed by the body and reacts biologically.
In short
IR A describes heat effect
Wavelengths in nm describe light precision
That is why heat lamps are designated in IR A and red light therapy in exact wavelengths.
Red light therapy can support:
- Relief of muscle and joint pain
- Relief of chronic skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, and rosacea
- Reduction of fine lines and wrinkles
- Increase in training performance
- Increase in ATP energy production
- Improvement of blood circulation
- Improvement of sleep quality
- Stress reduction
- Faster recovery after exercise
- Promotion of blood circulation
- Anti-inflammatory effects
- Support in wound healing
- Stimulation of collagen production
- Prevention of injuries
- Reduction of scars
- Support in healing processes
- Reduction of rheumatic complaints such as fibromyalgia and arthritis
- Stimulation of hair growth
Red light therapy works with red and near Infrared light to stimulate a biological effect in the tissue. Heat is neither the goal nor a measure of the result.
Infrared heat therapy is specifically aimed at heating. You quickly feel warmth, which mainly provides a thermal effect such as relaxation and a warm sensation. This is a different mechanism of action than photobiomodulation.
For deep effect, it is important that the radiation works as a light stimulus and not as a heat stimulus. Extra heat causes it to become too hot faster, which means you have to treat for a shorter time or at a greater distance. Heat may feel strong, but it does not mean that the light works deeper.
480 nm blue light
This light mainly works superficially. It is often used for impurities and acne-related skin problems because it can have an antibacterial effect. Note that blue light can cause irritation or pigment reactions more quickly in some people and is less suitable in the evening due to alertness.
630 nm red light
This wavelength works superficially to mid-depth in the skin layers. It is often used for skin quality, calming redness, and general skin goals.
660 nm red light
This is a classic red light wavelength. It supports skin repair and blood circulation in the skin and is widely used for cosmetic applications. 630 and 660 nm are often combined.
810 nm near-infrared
This wavelength penetrates deeper than red light. Often used for muscles, recovery, and comfort with stiffness and pain.
830 nm near-infrared
Similar to 810 nm and also aimed at deeper tissue. Used for recovery and support of muscles and joints.
850 nm near-infrared
A commonly used NIR wavelength with good depth effect. Broadly applicable for muscle recovery, blood circulation, and comfort with stiffness.
940 nm near-infrared
940 nm is a near-infrared wavelength with deep effect. This wavelength is often used to support blood circulation and comfort in muscles and joints. Because 940 nm is closer to water absorption than 810 to 850 nm, a warming sensation can occur more quickly. Therefore, this wavelength is usually used as a supplement.
1060 nm near-infrared
This wavelength can penetrate even deeper but is closer to a range where water absorption increases. This can cause a warming sensation more quickly. It is usually used as a supplement to 810 to 850 nm.
IR-A is a broad heat category that describes how infrared feels and how deeply the heat penetrates. Wavelengths, expressed in nanometers (nm), specify exactly which type of light is used and how it biologically interacts with the body. For red light therapy, specific wavelengths are essential, while IR-A is too general to provide therapeutic precision.
The PrimeFORCE RL60 is the most complete tabletop model. The panel operates with seven wavelengths, namely 480, 630, 660, 810, 830, 850, and 1060 nm. It features adjustable brightness, a digital display, remote control, and a pulse function with seven programs. The light intensity is 204 mW per cm2 at a distance of 7.5 cm, and the panel uses 60 LEDs of 5 watts each.
The ARMOR 400 is a simpler entry-level model. This panel uses two wavelengths, 660 and 850 nm, with 60 LEDs of 2 watts each. The light intensity is 140 mW per cm2 at a distance of 7.5 cm. Red and near-infrared can be switched on separately. This model does not have a pulse function or remote control.
For most applications, a usage frequency of three to five times per week is sufficient. For personal treatment advice, you can contact us at hello@liromaredlight.com.
A session usually lasts four to ten minutes per treatment area. A session may last a maximum of twenty minutes per treatment area.
You may use the lamp on one body part a maximum of once per day. However, you can use the lamp multiple times per day if you are treating different body parts. For example, the face in the morning and the legs in the evening.
The recommended distance is between thirty and fifty centimeters. For deeper effect and shorter treatment time, thirty centimeters is maintained. For a longer treatment time or lower dose, fifty centimeters is suitable. Keep a maximum of seventy centimeters.
No, the PrimeFORCE panels do not get warm. You may start to sweat or feel a sensation of warmth during the treatment, but you do not feel heat on the skin and the LEDs do not get warm.
The advice is to always wear protective goggles during red light therapy. Set up the device while standing next to the panel so you do not look directly into the light. For models with a remote control, you can preset the panel in advance.
The treatment should be performed on bare skin. Remove all clothing from the area you want to treat.
All red light lamps from Liroma are LED lamps. LED lamps are about ninety percent more energy-efficient than incandescent bulbs, have a longer lifespan, do not flicker, and provide full light immediately. LED lamps have less light scattering, allowing for more depth effect. Due to their compact size, multiple wavelengths can be combined in one panel.
All PrimeFORCE red light therapy panels come with a remote control. The ARMOR 400 does not have a remote control.
LED face mask
The red light therapy facial mask from Liroma is a portable device for home use. The mask is made of medical silicone material, making it flexible and easy to fold and carry. Thanks to the adjustable strap, the mask adapts to different face shapes.
The mask contains 234 high-quality LED lights. Each block contains four lights that emit four types of light: red 630 nm, blue 460 nm, green 525 nm, and near-infrared 850 nm. With the controller, you can choose from three energy levels and different treatment times. Through phototherapy, the light penetrates the skin and supports processes such as collagen and elastin production.
The LED mask can support skin rejuvenation because near Infrared light can stimulate collagen production. This can contribute to firmer and smoother skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
Additionally, it can help improve skin texture by stimulating blood circulation. Anti-inflammatory effects can support acne, redness, and other skin impurities.
The mask can also contribute to better skin hydration and improved absorption of skincare products because the skin temporarily becomes more permeable.
The LED face mask uses multiple light therapies, making it more versatile than infrared lamps. It also offers great convenience because your hands remain free during the treatment.
The mask is only suitable for the face and neck, and the light intensity is lower than that of PrimeFORCE red light panels. This means the mask is focused on skin goals rather than deep muscle or joint applications.
The recommended frequency of use is three to five times per week.
The LED mask uses the following wavelengths:
Red light 630 nm
Blue light 460 nm
Green light 525 nm
Near Infrared light 850 nm
Red light 630 nm is known for supporting collagen processes and skin rejuvenation. It can help reduce fine lines and improve skin elasticity and complexion.
Blue light 460 nm has antibacterial properties and is often used for acne and acne-related inflammations because it can inhibit bacteria on the skin surface.
Green light 525 nm can help reduce redness and pigmentation and has a calming effect on the skin.
Near Infrared light 850 nm penetrates deeper into the skin layers and can support blood circulation, inflammation reduction, and skin repair.
A session usually lasts ten to twenty minutes. Build up the treatment gradually and listen carefully to the skin's reaction.
No, the LED mask does not get warm. You might start to sweat a little or the device may feel slightly warmer, but you will not feel heat on the skin.
No, during the use of the LED mask you do not need to wear protective glasses.
It is possible to apply a thin hydrogel face mask or a thin layer of product for extra hydration or protection. This is not necessary, and the general advice is not to do this.
For an LED mask, it is usually recommended to use the continuous mode. Most skin treatments are applied in practice with continuous LED lighting, and masks are relatively mild.
The pulse function can be used if the skin reacts quickly with redness or sensitivity, if the mask feels warm, or in cases of sensitivity to pigmentation or melasma to limit the stimulus.
Yes, the LED mask is wireless. There is a power bank connected to the mask. During use, the power bank does not need to be connected to power.
Charging the mask takes about four to five hours. Make sure the mask is fully charged before first use.
Yes, the LED mask comes with a remote control. Please refer to the manual for proper operation.

Infrared heat lamps
Infrared therapy uses infrared radiation emitted by lamps to heat the body in a targeted way. The radiation penetrates the skin and is converted into heat. This can help with muscle relaxation, improved blood circulation, and relief from stiffness and pain.
Infrared therapy can help with pain relief, such as muscle pain, joint pain, and back pain.
The heat can cause dilation of the blood vessels, which improves blood circulation and supports the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the tissue.
Additionally, infrared therapy can stimulate sweating, which may contribute to detoxification of the body.
The heat can also help relax muscles and reduce stress, contributing to an overall sense of well-being.
