What is red light therapy?
Red light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, is a non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to improve cellular function. The light penetrates the skin and can stimulate the mitochondria in the cells, which leads to improved cell repair, reduced inflammation and pain, and improved tissue healing.
Red light therapy is similar to infrared therapy, but differs in terms of application, penetration depth and wavelengths.
What are the benefits?
Red light therapy is used for a variety of purposes. Red light therapy is used, among other things, for:
- support for back, neck & shoulder pain;
- reduction of muscle pain and joint pain;
- reduction of inflammation;
- stimulating collagen production;
- speeding up wound healing;
- rheumatic complaints (such as fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis);
- skin complaints such as acne, psoriasis and eczema;
- promoting blood circulation;
- minimising scars.

Experience the power of 8 clinically selected wavelengths
Our latest panels combine 8 wavelengths for a complete working range across skin, muscles, joints and cells:
- 630 nm – Red light (superficial skin recovery): Stimulates collagen and elastin, promotes skin renewal and improves skin texture.
- 650 nm – Red light (skin and circulation): Supports microcirculation in the skin and contributes to a more even complexion.
- 660 nm – Red light (deeper reach): Improves circulation, reduces inflammation and supports the recovery of skin, muscles and joints.
- 670 nm – Red light (cell recovery): Supports tissue recovery and the production of cellular energy.
- 810 nm – Near-infrared (muscle & nerve recovery): Penetrates through to muscle and nerve tissue, increases ATP production and reduces muscle fatigue.
- 830 nm – Near-infrared (deep tissue penetration): Strongly anti-inflammatory and ideal for deep tissue recovery and long-term pain complaints.
- 850 nm – Near-infrared (performance & regeneration): Speeds up muscle recovery, reduces DOMS and supports better athletic performance.
- 1060 nm – Deep infrared (thermal stimulation & fat reduction): Reaches fat and muscle tissue, stimulates thermolysis and improves circulation and lymphatic drainage.
Instructions for use
The recommended frequency and duration of use can vary depending on the user's specific needs and goals. In general, it is advised to use red light therapy 3-5 times per week, with sessions lasting 10-20 minutes at a distance of 30-50 cm.
