Increase testosterone levels with infrared light

Research shows that regularly exposing the testicles to infrared light may contribute to higher testosterone levels and improved sperm motility. For this purpose, use only an LED lamp with a wavelength of 630 to 850 nanometers that does not emit heat; infrared lamps 506 and 507 are not suitable for this. Keep the treatment under 20 minutes and always consult your doctor first. Below, you can read how it works and what to pay attention to.

How does it work?

Regular treatments with infrared light directed at the testicles will, in most cases, increase testosterone levels. Studies have shown that increased exposure of the testicles to natural light increases sperm count and sperm motility. Motility is an indicator of fertility. As a result, many researchers conclude that light therapy may have a significant effect on the treatment of male infertility.

Disadvantages of low testosterone levels

We all know that women experience hormonal changes. It is much less well known that men experience them as well. The male hormone testosterone plays an important role in many bodily functions. Changes in hormone production can cause symptoms such as:

  • Decreased sex drive
  • Reduced fertility
  • Feeling unwell
  • Hair loss
  • Reduced muscle mass
  • Erectile dysfunction

Overview of the applications of red light, near-infrared, and their combination

Important

No one wants to put their sexual health at risk with unproven infrared light treatments to increase testosterone levels. Some men may have reported negative effects after light therapy. These negative effects result from products that emit too much heat. Our infrared lamps 506 and 507 are therefore not suitable! The LED lamps in our range have the correct light wavelength. In addition, the light comes from an LED source, meaning that no heat is emitted. The LED lamps have a wavelength of 630 - 850 nm. Do not use the lamp for longer than 20 minutes.
