Erik on fibromyalgia and infrared products

Erik is a chronic pain patient with fibromyalgia and uses both a Liroma infrared lamp with a double head and a TDP lamp. He experiences the infrared lamp with heat as warm and deeply relaxing, which reduces muscle spasms; the two heads can be aimed separately and adjusted to ten settings. The TDP lamp is a heating element with a mineral disc, has two settings and a timer of 30, 60 or 90 minutes, and also provides him with local pain relief that he cannot explain himself. Below, you can read his story in his own words.

Some time ago, a customer contacted us. For convenience, I will call the customer Erik, because he would like to remain anonymous (on the website). Erik is a chronic pain patient and has undergone a long search for the right products for his pain complaints. Erik found us and was so enthusiastic about the products that he wanted to do something for us, but also for you.

By writing about his experience, he hopes to help others. As someone with firsthand experience, Erik would like to talk about his positive experiences with all kinds of pain relief therapies and the effects he has experienced from TDP lamps and infrared lamps with heat.

Erik says
‘’As a chronic pain patient with multiple conditions, I have had decades of experience with the most diverse forms of both conservative (conventional) and progressive (alternative) pain relief. In addition to being a fibromyalgia patient (with, among other things, severe pain in the muscles and connective tissue throughout my body), I suffer, in terms of nature, severity and extent, from various (inoperable) deformities in my neck, which cause both severe local pain and radiating pain in my neck, shoulders, arms, hands and fingers. Together, these are also referred to as generalized pain syndrome.

People with serious pain complaints can ask Liroma to have me contact them by phone so they can ask me questions about my decades of experience with the most diverse forms of pain relief therapies and the infrared and TDP lamps from, among others, Liroma.

I have a large rectangular halogen infrared lamp from Philips, and from Liroma I have an “Infrared lamp Double Head - 507”. The Liroma lamp has two easily adjustable infrared lamps that can be aimed separately at the painful area(s), and whose heat intensity can also be adjusted separately with the included remote control across ten settings. I experience the effect of the type of infrared light from the Liroma lamps as more powerful than that of the Philips halogen infrared lamp, on which, apart from the timer, nothing can be adjusted. The Liroma lamps have a warm and deeply relaxing effect on my muscles, causing them to spasm less and produce fewer pain complaints.

The head of a TDP lamp with the grille and mineral disc beside it

To begin with, the “TDP lamp” is not actually a lamp because it does not emit light. In fact, it is a heating element with a mineral disc that works according to Moxa therapy from mysterious ancient Chinese medicine. This TDP lamp emits considerable local heat, can be adjusted to two heat-intensity settings and has a timer of 30, 60 or 90 minutes.

Compared with infrared lamps, TDP lamps have a very important additional effect in the form of completely unexpected but extremely welcome, powerful local pain relief for me. Because in addition to the pain-relieving effect resulting from muscle relaxation through heat, this TDP lamp provides me with considerable additional local pain relief. This is only comparable to local lidocaine anesthetics (injections) in the affected muscles and connective tissues. It sounds unbelievable, and it is! Because apart from all kinds of invasive pain intervention treatments performed by my anesthesiologist and pain specialist in the operating room, TDP lamps have a considerable pain-relieving effect. I cannot explain scientifically why this is so, but after my long-term experience with it, the fact that this leads to a considerable reduction in my symptoms is absolutely undeniable for me.’’
